Eucharist
The Eucharist is the heart and the summit
of the Church's life, for in it, Christ associates his Church
and all her members with his sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving
offered once for all on the cross to his Father; by this sacrifice
he pours out the graces of salvation on his Body which is
the Church. (Catechism of the Catholic Church)
The Eucharist is celebrated Monday-Saturday
at 7:00AM and 9:00AM.
The Sunday celebration of the Eucharist takes
place with a Vigil Mass on Saturday at 4:30PM, and on Sunday
at 7:30AM, 9:00AM, 10:30AM, 12 Noon, and 5:00PM.
The 9:00AM Sunday Mass is
a Family Mass. On some Sundays, the Youth
Choir leads the congregation in song, and on other Sundays,
there are Leaders of Song. During the Homily, the young people
in attendance are invited by the Presider to join him at the
front of the altar to break open the Word of God.
From September through June, the Traditional
Choir sings at the 10:30AM Mass, and the Contemporary Choir
sings at the 12 Noon Mass. When the choirs are not present
there are cantors assigned to lead the congregation in song.
At the 5:00PM Mass a guitarist and leader
of song lead the congregation in singing.
